WASTE MANAGEMENT

The main requirement for a sanitary landfill is that it does not pollute, contaminate or degrade its environment. One way of achieving this is by using a composite barrier lining system. This consists of two or three intermediate layers of geomembrane liners over compacted clay or GCL layers at the base of the landfill. Municipal Solid Waste landfills receive a mixed stream of waste. The composition and interaction within the stream determines the composition of leachate reaching the basal barrier liner system. A geomembrane liner at the base of the landfill is therefore exposed to the synergistic effects of a wide range of chemicals. In addition, the temperature at the base of the landfill may increase significantly at various stages throughout the landfill's lifespan. This further contributes to the synergistic effects of chemicals on the geomembrane liner system.

RESERVOIRS & PONDS

HDPE and Polyester Woven Geotextile liners have been used extensively in the industry for lining water ponds, irrigation and navigation channels, potable water reservoirs, floating covers and wastewater treatment facilities

AQUACULTURE

HDPE geomembrane liners are used in fish and shrimp farming projects to reduce the risk of diseases and increase productivity by preventing water loss and the transmission of potentially harmful compounds from the soil into the ponds.
